How can I go to Istanbul?

Hi

I would like to go to stambul. I have the global pass but i cant find a route with the app. How can i go? Planes it is not an option.

Currently there is no train as Turkey and Bulgaria suspended the train Sofia - Istanbul until further notice :/ (this includes the seasonal ThroughCoach from Bucharest to Istanbul)

Currently there is no train as Turkey and Bulgaria suspended the train Sofia - Istanbul until further notice :/ (this includes the seasonal ThroughCoach from Bucharest to Istanbul)

I´ am not working for Eurail or Interrail i just share my knowledge here. Please ask in the Community and not via private message as this is the fastest way to get an answer. I prefer English/German/ Czech for my answers. In case of Reservationquestions please share some details like Route, Date, Trainnumber as otherwise we can just provide general advices or answers

Hello, I have the same plan for next year (going to Istanbul from France) . Do you have any idea when the train to Istanbul will work again?

Till yet no date given worstcase you can travel to Sofia or Swilengrad by train and take from there a Bus :)

Istanbul - Sofia starts again on 25.4. Sofia - Istanbul on 26.4. From 3.6. from/to Bucarest (only in summer):

Good news. The Istanbul-Sofia route has officially resumed running on April 25th (yesterday)!
