Hello! We are trying to book a train on May 31 from Nuremberg to Rothenburg Ob Der Tauber. All the trains that day show unable to be booked. The problem looks to be the connection in Ansbach. Can anyone tell me what’s going with Ansbach and how we can book a train? Thanks!

If you want to use Eurail pass for that journey you just add the trains to your pass and travel.

Regional trains do not have reserved seating and for the short time you would be on an IC train between Nuremberg and Ansbach it is not worth the cost of seat reservations, just sit in any unoccupied seats.

If you wish to use the local day/weekend ticket @rvdborgt posted then it can be bought online, app or on the day from a ticket machine or ticket office.

This ticket is only for local/regional transport, not IC/ICE trains. There are hourly connections for that journey.

That's a journey with regional trains only. No reservations are possible.

If you have a flexipass, you should also consider if this is worth to use a travel day for. A day pass for up to 6 persons is just €25.50 and is also valid on Sunday 1/6.

So how do I get tickets if I can’t purchase on any apps?

If you use your pass, then that is your ticket.
