Luxembourg to Paris

Hi, I've been waiting for direct trains to be released for the 20th August from Luxembourg City to Paris but the timetable seems to stop in the next week or so. There are only indirect services available from then on, with many requiring a bus for the first leg.

Up until next week it seems that TGV Inoui services operate direct several times per day but then no longer. Does anyone know what is happening please? Thanks

There is construction work on the lines, no direct trains from 13 July until 13 Sep.

You could take the bus to Metz but this would be with less bus time:

  • Bus Luxembourg - Bettembourg 09:11 - 09:39 (there are buses every 5 min)
  • TER Bettembourg - Thionville 09:51 - 10:05
  • TGV Thionville - Paris-Est 10:34 - 12:21 10€

Thanks for your help, it’s much appreciated. We’re travelling with children so even though the Metz option is longer, there are less changes and less hassle but I will look in to the route you suggested as an alternative. Thank you
