I live in Salzburg, Austria and want to travel inside of Italy. I am considering buying one country Italy Pass . But is that valid from Salzburg to Venice of Rome for example?

The One Country Pass Italy is only valid in Italy.
Yes I know but for example from Salzburg to Italy should I buy another ticket and from Italy to Salzburg should I buy another ticket?
You'll need to buy a ticket on tickets.oebb.at to Tarvisio Boscoverde or Brenner (border stations)
From those stations your pass will be valid. You can stay on the same train.

Or you buy an Interrail Global Pass and you can use it on 2 days in your home country.
Often the price is not that different between One Country and Global Pass (valid in 33 countries in Europe).
