Hello everyone! Thanks in advance for your ideas. I'll be in Paris Feb 16-18. I'm looking for a day trip idea outside of the city. My main interests would be in Prehistoric Sites or a National Park type activity. I know, I'm too far from Lascaux or Normandy for a day trip to those areas but looking for other ideas. I plan to use my Eurail Pass for the travel. Thanks again.

Normandy or even Brittany wouldn’t be that far for a day trip.
The first thing that comes to mind is Carnac :
- TGV Paris-Montparnasse - Auray (3h journey, sometimes with a change in Rennes) 10-20€ reservation fee
- Bus 1 Auray - Carnac → https://www.breizhgo.bzh/se-deplacer-en-bretagne/se-deplacer-en-car/morbihan (fortunately times more or less match with the trains)
You can visit on your own outside summer (per their website).
I’m sure there are plenty of other options too as long as you’re willing to wake up early and spend a few hours travelling.
