Rome airport to Venice - is it easy to get this train?

Michael Richter

I’ve been to Rome, Florence. Would like to go to Venice. Is it easy to get the train from Rome airport to Venice and return? Coming from US to Rome RT and first time taking the train across Italy. Any suggestions for Venice in mid/late July?

There are some direct Frecciarossa high speed trains from Rome Fiumicino Airport to Venice. I would reccomend to plan some time between the flight and the train. Because if the plane has a delay you have to buy a new reservation (with Eurail) or a new ticket, with the BASE ticket fare you have only to pay a fee for changing the train on the ticket. But for more infomation visit trenitalia.com

You can also take a regional train to Roma Tiburtina and change there to a Frecciarossa to Venice or take the Leonardo Express (only 1st class) to Roma Termini (main station) and change there for the Frecciarossa to Venice.
