Hello! I am planning a trip for the summer. I would like to train from London to Istanbul, in approximately 2 weeks, and stop in maybe 3-4 places on the way. Happy to use overnight trains. Travelling alone so safety is key. Any advice on routes would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Seat61 has a good guide to the route options to Istanbul. There’s a direct sleeper from Bucharest in summer. The other option is via Serbia and a bus to Sofia.
