Hi, I’ll be travelling in Switzerland in January 2024 and am wondering whether I will get the 25% discount for having a Eurail pass on the Jungfrau network if I buy their 3 day pass. I’m planning to go all over the region on the various trains and cable cars. I’ll have the Eurail Global Pass.

The Eurail Pass is not really good value if you plan to exclusively stay in the Jungfrau region but yes the 25% discount will apply to tickets (not the Jungfrau pass or whatever it's called) -> no need to use a pass day too.

However make some calculations and see if that option is better for you : half-fare card (120 CHF for a month) and half-fare tickets/saver day passes.

Jungfraujoch (most extreme example) costs 109 CHF half-fare, 164 CHF Eurail, 218 CHF full-fare.

In any case do not buy your tickets in advance because if the weather is bad up there (-20°C, blizzard) you'll have lost hundreds of CHFs.

Thanks! I’m travelling in Europe for 3 months so I’ll already have a eurail pass.
Thanks for the weather advice - very helpful, and I’ll keep it in mind!
