Train from Basel to Zurich - Seat Reservations required ?

Hi , Myself and family are trying to book seat reservations from Basel to Zurich early April.

Our train is midweek at lunchtime, an IC service.

The SBB website states that reservations are not possible.

Given the journey is just under 1 hour, I presume given this is such a frequent service that reservations are not required.

Thx in advance.

There is no need to reserve seats on Swiss trains in general, even when available most locals do not reserve, just take any available seat. The ends of trains farthest from platform entrances are usually quieter as most people will board the closer carriages.
