No tickets available for night trains from Bologna to Munich after 8th of june. I can now see the departure in august, but no tickets available. I have checked other days/weeks and still no tickets. It is hard to believe all tickets are sold out, but isn't time to be able to book for beginning of august?

Keep trying regularly. Reservations for the summer timetable (starting 9 June) are not open yet.

OK. Thanks. Thought it opened 6 month before.

The 6 month period that is given on for nightjet only applies to some routes, mainly the ones to Germany and Switzerland. Trains to Italy and France usually go on sale later. If it says “ticket not available” and the train departs in more than one month, the reason will almost never be the train selling out. Most of the time, the timetable isn’t fully in place yet and there could still be changes, although they are unlikely.
