Solved

I am a new resident of Switzerland and my 18 year old son is not yet. He will be but not until after we travel.

Hello

Can I purchase 2 Interrail global passes if we will be travelling together or do I need to buy 2 separate passes (one Interrail and 1 Euro). If so, how will this affect our travel?

Thank you

The only difference between Interrail and Eurail is that with Interrail, you are limited to 2 travel days in your country of residence. Eurail doesn't have that  limitation. If you both have a non-European passport, you can both use Eurail.
