Hi. I want to book the nightjet from Paris to Salzburg for July but it isn't showing compartments and when I emailed they said I would just have to keep checking website for when the compartments go live. Anyone else had this before? Really worried about missing out and it messing up our whole plan for the holiday. Thanks

Happens quite often. Nothing to worry about. For the moment, no bookings seem open from the 1st of May and beyond.
SNCF is going to open bookings for the summer on the 8th of March. You can check again then, if the Nightjet is open for booking then. Normally it's 6 months in advance, but France always does it a bit differently.
