Reservations for Balkans Trip

Hi,

I am trying to make reservations (and have been trying to for weeks) for connections from Istanbul → Sofia, Podgorica → Belgrade and Split → Zagreb, but whenever I click on anything it just says that seat reservations are not available.

Seems like a lot of other people have had issues with pre-booking these reservations. Are reservations for all of these supposed to be made at the train station? Are you able to make reservations for the Istanbul → Sofia train at the Sirkeci station in Istanbul, even if the train to Sofia leaves from Halkali station?

Any insight would be really appreciated! Thanks so much!

Istanbul - Sofia isn't available online. It is possible to do it at Sirkeci yes.

Can't help for Podgorica - Belgrade but maybe this will be useful : https://www.seat61.com/interrail-and-eurail-reservations.htm

Split - Zagreb wasn't available online until recently. For travel dates after 1st July use tickets.oebb.at : add Eurail as a discount and select one-way tickets. It should cost 3€ for the daytime train. For the night train : contact rezervacije@hzpp.hr

However a regular ticket doesn't cost much more if you want to save a pass day.
