Thalys train was cancelled -- new seat reservation / refund

Erika Karp

My July 4 Thalys train was cancelled from Brussels to Paris (Thalys sent me an email).  My eurail reservation shows booked with no issue or flag.  I already submitted a request for a seat reservation refund.  Do I just go ahead and book a new seat reservations right away? Or do I wait for someone get back to me regarding the refund/exchange.

You don't want to cancel, so you shouldn't ask for a refund.

If you still want to travel, ask Eurail to book you on a Thalys of your choice. This is free of charge.

How do I contact Eurail to book another seat reservation instead?? I tried the chat bot and the customer service request.

The customer service request is the way to go:

You should receive a conformation mail minutes after you submitted your request. You can reply to the confirmation mail to add more information.
