Question

advance Eurostar seat reservations to london

Hello, we are travelling in May and June without a return date which we intend to decide en route but probably the last week in June. Does anyone know if it is difficult to find a Eurostar reservation around this time with just 2 weeks notice. Thanks in anticipation. Gip

2 weeks is difficult. However in the last week (very roughly) before departure, availability often appears even if there’s been nothing for weeks.

It’s no guarantee, of course, so you should have a plan B. You don’t say where you’re travelling from, but be prepared to check from other Eurostar hubs to London (Paris, Brussels, Lille).

Thank you for your response. I think for my first eurail pass experience I’ll decide on a return date and reserve seats on the Eurostar, so much for being more spontaneous on my travels! I am presuming Eurostar is the only way to get back to UK?

best regards

Gip

Remember that Eurostar reservations are changeable (subject to availability), so you could book something now and look to change it later.

Free to change up to 7 days before departure. After that, you pay a change fee of €15 in Standard Class or €20 in Plus.

Do it on the Eurostar website. You can change date and time, but not route.
