Hi all, l would like to catch the direct 8:06am train from Berlin to Amsterdam on Saturday 15th June 2024. It’s says l need to buy seat reservations but every time l try it on eurail it comes up with an error. I went into Rail Europe and it says it’s free, and when I checked on  Bahn.db it says no price information is available. I am very confused. Do l need to buy a seat reservation for this train and if so how? Being the busy time we don’t want to miss out on a seat. Any help would be appreciated thank you.

You can buy them from ÖBB.

Dont make the same mistake of booking a first class reservation if you don’t have a first class pass!

They're required from 1st June. Definitely make them all year round as this route tends to be busy.

DB can't sell standalone mandatory reservations, even for their own trains (with a few exceptions).

Instead use ÖBB : 3€ per person. :)

Thank you for your help 😀 that worked perfectly. I have booked the reservations through OBB as suggested we are all good to go. This community is amazing 🤩
