We're a family of 5 looking to book the overnight sleeper from Berlin to Stockholm. Couchettes sleep 6 and we'd like a private sleeper cabin. Booking for 5 (each with Railcard), it's 2,075 SEK, in a shared cabin while the private cabin comes in at an eye watering 11,410 SEK!!!
Adding a 'phantom child' ticket (without a Railcard) to ensure we don't share, comes in at a reasonable 3,192SEK.
Has anyone had experience of booking for a non travelling child?! Are there any risks of doing this? Penalty fares?! 😬
