Hello, we have a group of 4 travelling together. We all bought eurail passes and are starting in rome, with the first trip a day trip to Salerno and back same day. I’m confused as to do I book this trip on the web, or in the rail planner app, and how do I confirm to the conductor we have a valid trip. This is also a high speed train so I need to make a reservation also. Thank you very much!!

Italian reservations can be made online at tickets.oebb.at or www.raileurope.com, both without extra booking fees. The Eurail website has an extra booking fee of €2 per person and train so that adds up.
