I'm trying to book 3 tickets for me and 2 friends for the Nightjet sleeper Amsterdam-Innsbruck for March 8th (arriving March 9th) in 2025.
Some weeks ago, all trains after 15 dec ‘24 became available for booking, except the NightJet leaving on the 7th and 8th. Weirdly enough, the last portion of the train ride (from Munich onwards) is bookable. But that’s useless…
Does any of you know what is going on or when they might become available for booking?

I don’t see any notice either but there are very likely works that weekend. Expect earlier departure/later arrival (+ the usual delay ofc). Keep checking regularly: nobody knows when the train goes on sale.
+8There’s construction work on the line that weekend. If you search the itinerary on oebb.at it will give you the details.
Can you rearrange your travel to a weekday? That would be the simplest option. Alternatively, keep checking, and see if the construction plans change.

Thank you for the reply and information! That sucks, but is good to know. Sadly, it is not possible for us to change that date. We already booked accommodation in Skt. Anton for skiing :)
However, I am not able to see the construction plans info your are mentioning. Either via the ticket shop, fahrplan or the scotty page.

Due to the flooding, the planning for local, regional and long-distance passenger rail services for the 2025 timetable year has not yet been fully completed.
It is therefore possible that as of 15th December 2024, connections may change again. Connections might be cancelled, additional ones may be added and departure or arrival times may still change.
As a matter of security, ÖBB thus asks its passengers to review the current timetable of your connection in due time before starting your journey. Thank you very much!

Okay clear. Honestly, I think I will look into alternatives then. Either the ICE during the Sunday or by air, which will be a lot faster (even though still very wrong).
+8ÖBB has quite a responsive social media team, don’t hesitate to contact them on your specific issue. For the moment us train nerds can’t seem to find anything that explains you not being able to book. We’re just guessing as well ;)
Hi Brendan, I have actually been in contact with ÖBB via twitter DM. They were not able to give any useful information. They don't know when the train will be available for booking and I should keep checking regularly.
But honestly, to me this is an example of why people are hesitant in booking holiday trips with the intent of using the train vs car/plane. But that is besides to point :)
