We are planning on booking on the eurostar from Paris to London on the 2nd of Jan. if the departure time is 9.15 . How long before the train departure should be there to check in.

Don't worry if there's a big queue when you arrive they process people quickly. :)
There's a 09:31 departure so I'd recommend 8:30-8:45.
