Yes, 17 October from 10:09 to 12:09. All the journey is from Bruges 8:59 to Strasburg 14:29.

All the options figure as sold out...

This is from a couple of days before. It says 150 days before departure (Today), no way they are already sold out or yes? I dont find any way to validate that.
Assuming that this train is sold out, how can I get from Brugges to Strasbourg in a reasonable time?

The fact that Interrail says this doesn't mean it's correct. ​@Eurail Community Moderator Why are incorrect booking horizons being used, and more importantly, users being blocked from booking until the artificial horizon is reached? Reservations have been open since 11 March.

You can travel via Kortrijk to Lille and only then a TGV. There's no limited quota and that will also be cheaper.

Another option is to travel via Luxembourg - Metz, which is possible entirely reservation-free.

You can always travel without reservations via Brussels - Luxembourg - Metz, but it takes about 8 hours.

It doesn’t make a lot of sense to take trains via Brussels for this route, leaving from Bruges.

Travel time Bruges - Lille Flandres, via Kortrijk is about 1,5 hours, a bit shorter as the option via TGV over Brussels. This part via Kortrijk is fully reservation free and runs (almost) hourly. That gives you more flexibility.

In Lille there are many more options to Strasbourg than via Brussels, either via Marne-la-Vallée or via Paris (it’s a short walk from Paris Nord to Paris -Est for all trains to Strasbourg). 

Now, I am looking for the best option. If I look for the Eurostar train in Rail Europe I find available to book seats. I think I will go this way.

If you're with 8, then it's cheaper to book reservations via B-Europe:

Interrail and Rail Europe charge an extra fee of €2 per person and train. B-Europe charge €4 per order, so that's only €0.50 per person.

That's because B-Europe only shows trains it can sell. In your screenshot from the Eurail website, you can also see that it didn't give a price for that train.

You’re quite early to book honestly.  Not every train is already open for reservations, mostly expensive trains with a wide booking horizon, like Eurostar. But! That will cost you at least 45 (!) euro per person extra, just for the seat reservations, which is more like extortion than an acceptable reservation fee, that adds up if you’re a party of 8… You better save that money for a nice activity on your holiday.

At the end of july, at the latest august all trains will be open for reservations, I would recheck en make your reservations then.

Unless you go for the direct TGV Brussels-Strasbourg (there’s one in the morning, and one in the afternoon) which is a rather comfortable option. Book that one asap then, because very limited passholder seats and often popular with Eurocrats (they move the entire parliament between Brussels and Strasbourg once or twice a month).

 I’ll suggest an itinerary that looks like this (first two trains are non-reservable, just hop on and find a free seat), the latter two might be open already for reservation, probably at 10 EUR per seat each, providing you enough time for a quick lunch in Paris. You can reproduce this almost at every hour of the day.

Going for something like that will limit your reservation cost to about 20 EUR per person if you book the TGVs early.

Still early, so changes to the schedules might occur. Double check a few days before your travels if travel times and connections didn’t change because of engineering works.
