Hello

Have been able to book Eurostar from London to Bruxelles on 12 April 2025 but Bruxelles-Midi to Amsterdam Centraal is showing nothing for this date.

Does that mean the all passholder fares are already sold for that date?

Friday 11th or Monday 14th April 2025 are showing as being available.

If I can’t book Eurostar & Eurail has nothing for the 12th April (“Sorry, we don’t have train times for those dates yet -”) & Rail Europe is saying “ Unfortunately we can't currently sell tickets for this journey, but the timetable below should give you an idea of trains that are running.” … but they can sell tickets for a week earlier & a week later I’m at a loss as to what I can do (changing dates is NOT an option)

Advice on options/alternatives would be greatly appreciated

Hello @ginga

The reservations for these trains are currently not open, you should try later, but I would not travel with the Eurostar between Bruxelles and Amsterdam. You can spare expensive reservation fees travelling with the Intercity. You are free to choose any hourly train.

Thanks Danhiel

It worried me that the days around the 12th & 13th April 2025, as I wrote in my plea for help, were not open for reservations on the Eurorail websites, but the websites nsinternational.com & b-europe.com where the Intercity Direct reservations are readily available were open for bookings.

Do either of the Dutch or Belgium websites accept Eurail passes?

I will eventually book through one of them.

Thanks for your advice. Greatly appreciated.

@ginga

It is not mandatory or possible to reserve seats in the Intercity. The Intercity Direct supplement (2,90 €) is required only for domestic journeys in the Netherlands, not from Bruxelles.

The Intercity Direct supplement (2,90 €) is required only for domestic journeys in the Netherlands, not from Bruxelles.

This supplement does not depend on the type of journey you're making but on the ticket you have. With an international ticket, such as Interrail or Eurail, you never need this supplement, not even for a domestic journey. The information about this is the app and the Eurail/Interrail websites is partially incorrect.
