I had to postpone an overnight sleeper reservation yesterday as my wife sprained her foot. Bought another reservation for today and was unable to get a refund at Bucharest station where I bought both passes. Is it possible to get a refund? Reservations cost c €80. Many thanks.

Reservations for Nighttrains are usually just refundable till one day before depature e.g. for a train departing at 15.45 on the 9th April you could only get a refund till 23.59 on the 8th April :/ There are some exceptions for example Czech Rail offer the big refund just till 15days before depature and after that just the small refund till one day before depature :/

I have a Travelinsurance to cover such unexpected problems.

If the place that sold you the reservation couldn't give you a refund you can check with your travel insurance.
