We are trying to travel from Budapest to Bled on the night of the 11th july. We have found a train from Budapest to Salzburg and we want to book the NJ from salzburg at 1:40 to lesce bled at 05:17. On OBB website it says this train is not available to book. Does that mean it is not running at all? If so can anyone suggest alternative routes from Budapest to Bled? Thanks

That night train runs but is fully booked.
In that period there are indeed some works along part of the line-exact details are more likely on the planner of railway concerned-oebb.at. It is always, always wiser to use planner of the railway itself-or bahn.com as it covers most of them and is updated often enough.
Overnight-plus that this is not an overly comfortable trip, NO Alt.
By day plenty of choice, even without mandatory REServ-either via Ljubljana or via Austria-with choice of Graz or Wien-then to Klagenfurt-Villach.
