You can travel as you like according to the validity of your pass. If you have a continuous pass then all days are travel days. If you have a flexi pass then you have a predefined number of travel days within the validity period.
If you have a Global Pass you can travel on a maximum of two travel days in your country of residence.
A travel day is 00.00-23.59 CET. If you board a train before midnight you can stay on that train after midnight without using a new travel day.
