Can Railplanner be trusted?

We are going from the small town of Habo to Hamburg Hbf 22/4; I type this into the app and get the following suggestions:

06:43-17:03

If I add "no reservation required" and then get the following:

05:31-17:03
Here the app suggests changing in Jönköping, but I know that the train goes all the way to Nässjö and therefore divide my search into parts and get the following:

Habo - Nässjö 05:31-06:17
Nässjö - Alvesta 06:26-07:18
Alvesta - Copenhagen 07:23-09:39
Copenhagen - Hamburg 09:57-15:00

Result; 2 hours earlier in Hamburg.

I have set the minimum change time to 1 minute.

Why don't the app provide information about the fastest possible journey?

Are these changes proposed by the operators' own planners or by the national planners?

You can set the minimum change time to 1 minute but planners won't offer connections with a change time that is under the minimum specified for that particular station, unless the operators have agreed that a shorter connection is possible between specific trains.

To answer your question in the title, the Rail planner app can't be trusted in general: it's often out of date and incomplete. It's not as bad as it used to be but we still regularly see cases where something isn't correct.

Bestäm hur du vll åka och lägg in tågen ett i taget i appen. Railplanner-appen är inte så bra för planering. Använd SJ och DB.

Du måste ha anslutningstider som garanteras av tågbolagen för att kunna få eventuellt förseningsersättning.

Hmm, it might be the transfer time in Alvesta (5 minutes). But I do not know

Om du söker på Habo - Köpenhamn hos SJ, vad får du för resultat? Även DB bör ge ett bra svar.

Tyvärr samma tråkiga svar. SJ vill att jag tar 08:23 tåget när det finns ett 07:23 som jag (teoretiskt) kan hinna med för att sen hinna med Hamburgtåget 09:57.

DB ger samma information som Railplaner.

That is a clear indication that the minimum connection time in Alvesta is set at more than 5 minutes.

Also is looks like the minimum connection time in Nässjö is set at more than 9 minutes.

You could ask the operators whether their trains are meant to connect, and if so, to correct their timetable data, so that these connections are shown.
