Cannot book seat reservation from Paris to Brussels

When I try to book a seat reservation for Paris to Brussels, the eurail app gives this message:

No price results were found. Pass holder reservations may be sold out for this connection, but there are other ways to check for available seats—more info below our timetable.

When I check the Eurostar website, there are tons of seats available.

What do I need to do?

Eurostar doesn’t make all seats available to passholders, so there can be seats available to cash buyers even when there are no passholder fares.

You can try searching to Lille, then anther train to Brussels, or you can take the reservation-free itinerary (Option 3 in the link below).

There’s also a direct Ouigo train, where the pass isn’t valid but tickets can be as cheap or cheaper than the reservation fee on Eurostar (Option 2 below).

Availability on the direct Eurostar isn't great:

So indeed check the alternatives. The best place to book Eurostar or TGV is raileurope.com.

There’s availability to Lille on the TGV, then you can take another TGV or connecting regional trains (no reservation) to Brussels.

Or take the direct Ouigo leaving at 0818 for €29. You have to buy a ticket, since the pass isn’t valid, but it’s a similar price to what you’d be paying for a seat reservation on Eurostar.
