Copenhagen to Hamburg

Dear Community

I need some assistance. I have a 3-month Global Pass, and I’ve attempted to get seat reservations on a train from Copenhagen to Hamburg on March 3 at 10:22. I’ve tried DSB, DB, B-Europe and Eurail. Unfortunately, all sites either do not give me the option to choose seats or don’t work at all - see the pics attached below.

Is anybody able to assist? I’ve used the information at The Man in Seat as my guidance for this.

Many thanks in anticipation.

Steve

Adelaide, Australia.

AFAIK there's no way to choose seats on these trains. Just choose the cheapest one. If you're only booking this one train, then ÖBB (tickets.oebb.at) will be cheapest (€3 per seat).

You can also use the website of the Czech railways, cd.cz. AFAIK they are the only ones who reveal your seat numbers before payment.

Yes indeed, Czech Railways do that. You can add seats to your shopping basket repeatedly until you're satisfied and then delete the ones you don't want. Unfortunately, there's no seat map with seat numbers (yet) of their new Talgo carriages…

Another advantage of cd.c is that you can cancel the reservations and get a full refund until 15 minutes before departure. Price is usually €3.0x.

Thank you, eurocity101 and rvdborgt, for your assistance. Very much appreciated. I will check these sites and probably book seats. Do you think that if I make seat reservations, the desk at Copenhagen Airport would be able to change the seats on request when I arrive on February 24?

I don't think so. The DSB ticket office won't be able to change reservations booked via other channels.

As to reservations made via the DSB website, they say that a reservation can't be exchanged:
