I am looking to book a couchette for my family in July for the 1am train from zagreb. It indicates it has couchettes as a service but I can't seem to be able to book one. Any ideas??

I'mm not sure if they can be booked outside of Croatia. You could try to book via DB (ticket office or by phone: +49 30 2970, collect at a DB ticket machine or delivery by post for €5.90).
