hey! I try my best to book the train today at 17.17 from Copenhagen central station to Hamburg central station. but the train does not show in the app, what should I do? It is an IC train so I should be able to take it. How do I make sure I have a valid ticket

That train requires a reservation and it appears is fully booked which is not uncommon for this route.
The alternative is to use other trains changing in Frederica and Flensburg.

There are mandatory reservations on the direct trains between Germany and Denmark during the summer so you need a reservation for the train. These reservations are normally sold out days and often weeks in advance. You need to replan your travel. There are local train in Germany and local trains in Denmark that you can use. If you check in the app for trains without reservation you see the trains that you can take.
