If my Interrail Pass is valid until 17 August, am I allowed to start my journey back home on 17 August at 2 pm, even if I don't arrive until the morning of 18 August at 8 am?

+7No, the arrival time has to be within the validity period. Despite only the starting time mattering for travel days.
