Hello Rita! Please complete a Delay Compensation Form here: https://www.eurail.com/en/help/delay-compensation and add as much information as possible, including the reservation number of the lost connection.
Speak to staff on the train if possible (at the latest in the train station).
They'll issue you a new reservation free of charge for the next available train (whether in 1st or 2nd class).
