Deutsche Bahn seat reservation - a direct way to driving you crazy! ÖBB is the solution

For two days I tried to make a seat reservation for mandatory German ICE train connections. 1st: if you try to change the automatically chosen seat, you can try for a 100 times and choose available seats at the window or at  the aisle or whatever, after going through all the necessary steps you get the message: ERROR, go back and try again (or something like that). Even if you don’t want to change anything (after two days trying you are happy to get any seat) and filling in your credit card details you get the same message. Crazy!

Now I found out that this problem occurs already for more than 2 years! And someone suggested: try ÖBB, which I dit. And wonder oh wonder: it works!! I have easily made my reservations and even could change the preselected seats for silence zones and at the window, costs € 3,- per train.

So, if you rely on the German Gründlichkeit => DON’T! Try the Austrian way!

@Dagmar De Kée-Rixner

Internal reservations in Germany cost now also € 5,50/6,90 on ÖBB.

cd.cz should also work, for €3 and a few cents.
