Hello,

I bought a 4‑day Interrail pass. I planned to do: Day 1: Lyon–Zurich Day 2: night train Zurich–Prague Day 3: Prague–Berlin Day 4: night train Berlin–Paris (18h31-10h42 europeen sleeper), then Paris–Lyon two hours later. Does this work, or do I need a 5‑day Interrail pass?

You need 5 travel days for your journey. All days (00.00 - 23.59) when you board a train is a travel day.

Alternatively, buy a regular ticket for one of your journeys. Check prices Prague-Berlin on www.cd.cz, or Paris-Lyon on www.sncf-connect.com.

Thanks a lot.

I’ve already made seat reservations. But I can still get a refund for my 4‑day Pass and buy a new 5‑day one (I bought it less than 7 days ago). Will my seat reservations still be valid for the new Pass?

In other words, are seat reservations linked to the Pass number?

Reservations are not linked to a pass.

Also, TGV seat reservations are refundable.

Reservations Prague-Berlin are also refundable, if bought via CD or ÖBB, too. But you can use those with a regular ticket too.

I agree. Check prices for a normal ticket from Paris-Lyon before you commit to buying a longer pass.

It can be as cheap as €19, as there are three train companies competing with each other.

Also, a warning: the European Sleeper frequently has problems getting to France. Often it terminates in Brussels, and passengers for Paris are put on a bus.

Those problems should be over since 17/4.
