I have made my initial reservation in 1st class with my two teens...I have the confirmation email. It says I have to print it...how do you print tickets/seat reservations when travelling?
Also...it doesn’t include seat numbers. How do I ensure my kids and I can sit together?

Different companies have different systems, unless you say what railway/route the reservations are for and where you bought it there is no way anyone can give useful advice.

It is strange that seat reservations don’t include a seat number. Did you open the attached PDF file with the ticket?
If the reservations are not mandatory, they are normally not controlled. You can also show the PDF file on your smartphone. Sometimes you can also load the reservation in the mobile app of the railway company (for example Trenitalia).
