Do the trains in England require a reservation, next to the Pass?


Hi, i will traveling in September from Austria to England. About the reservation in the train in England, is there duty or is all trains in England in the Interrail Global Pass inkluded?

Hallo aus Steiermatk (heute). Es ist eigentlich eben wie hier /AT: mann KANN/darf REServieren-nur im IC-und das ist sogar umsonst-aber dann nur DORT, oder mann lasst es-und dann riskiert mann teils stehen zu muessen. Ausnahme: Übernacht, das sollte sebstverstdl sein. Es gibt nur 2-3 Nachtzuege, LON-Scotland und Cornwall. Die nach Scot=sleeper.scot bieten zwar auch Lehnesitze, aber die sind nicht buchbar mit Paesse-und die sleeper kosten weit >100 GBP.

Note: about any major station in GB currently has gates-you cannot use pass for that-have to use the 1 that has staff and show pass-if there is noone, then the gates should be open.

IN the LONdon area a few suburban stops are shared with Londontransport=metro usw, there you may encounter problems as they hardly know about that you are certainly allowed also to take trains there-but ot that metro=underground.

Hi the daytrains within the UK usually doesnt need a reservation. You still can get one directly at the station, (by cotacting the Railcompany via Facebook,Twitter) or via the Website of GWR (GreatWesternRail) @rvdborgt  made a short manual in the the ost below
