Does Budapest - Wien train (RJ 60) require a reservation?

Hi guys, does anyone know if this train really requires a reservation? In the app it says so, but I haver read on some sites that It isn't. thanks!

Hi, not compulsory. 

I think only if you use it within Hungary? But not if you are travelling cross border.  

But if you want to reserve, book it directly via ÖBB or MAV (cost less as interrail.eu)

correct only compulsory within Hungary but not for bordercrossing journey´s :) but still recommended to get one :) 3€ on oebb.at 

I´ am not working for Eurail or Interrail i just share my knowledge here. Please ask in the Community and not via private message as this is the fastest way to get an answer.
