Hello

I can see ECD 9551 on the NSI website for the above date:

but I can’t see how to confirm that it is running (trains to Amsterdam Centraal aren’t) nor how I can use my Eurail Global Pass.

Could some kind soul please post detailed instructions on how to do so or is it just a question of turning up as there are no seat reservations?

You can use this train with your pass. There's no supplement and reservations are not possible for this train.

So you just jump on board & grab a seat?

I was worried about the train actually running as it isn’t showing as an option when using the Rail Planner app

It will probably be added in a future update.

It's important to remember that the Rail planner app is incomplete and often out of date, although I had expected this train to be in there already.
