Hi, we bought a Global Pass for three travelers. Some train trips have now been booked with seat reservations. However, since we are travelling from Bern or Basel to Prague at night, I can see some glitches or differences on the website timings and app planner.

This has been added to our trip list since we opted for the no-reservation option.

However, upon using the website today, this is now showing with a seat requirement. Will there be any chance to book a seat at the main station?

You can reserve it via other websites, e.g. the website of the Czech Railways, CD.cz

Follow the steps mentioned in this guide:

The train in the first screenshot is marked Eurocity, and they don't need reservations in this part of the world.

The second one is marked Euronight, and reservations are required.

Only one train runs, although they sometimes put two in the journey planners, so that the seating cars will show up in searches for IC or EC.

I don't see two trains in the results here, so maybe it was an error that's now corrected.

The Trip Planner is often out of date. Bahn.com shows it correctly with compulsory reservation

Maybe it is better to take this night train to be safe for the three of us. Right?

It’s the same train, always a good idea to go for sleeper cabins.
