I have booked a trip for 5 people. only 3 of them are returning together on the eurostar to London from Paris. How do I edit the passengers for just this reservation? It seems to be assuming all 5 want to come back

Just make a single reservation for 5 people for the first trip and then another single trip for 3 for the return trip.

It is unclear in what form you have it-but I guess (in fact right now I sit in this €* boarding hall in LON to await the next train out) there must be 5 barcodes on 5 separate tickets.
At all stops of this train there will be small counters for last minute exchange or self-serve machines.
OR go to their site and try to change (I guess the others will stll want to come back another time??) by using the buttons for that and ´change RES.´ and PNR. Thus this means you canNOT arrange it via app. I assume-not 100% sure-that this will also depend if new train still has seats in passholder quota
