From Italy to London high costs of reservations. Suggestions?

We are planning a trip to London starting from Florence but with interrail eurail planner it seems that the costs of seats reservation is nearly the same of full ticket…

our trip should be: Florence- lyon- mulhouse- Paris- London- Paris- Florence 

what do you suggest?

International high speed trains from/to France are the most expensive ones to book.

If this is the only trip you're making, then maybe you should look into buying normal tickets. Check e.g. https://trainline.eu/ for normal fares.

FLYing is probably even cheaper too as even those extra supplmts. Yes, of course I am fully aware about all those supposed green credentials of riding on rails. Less chance on strikes too-It and FR!

Ryan from Pisa or Bergamo, but EasyJet is much better and less nerve-wracking.
