Getting from Lesce bled to Split

Hi,

I am currently trying to book the train from Bled to Split, and I can reserve a seat from Zagreb to split, but it won’t let me do the same for Bled to Zagreb. I see that you don’t need a reservation to get from Bled to Split, but it says it’s a night train so I am a bit confused, since it is at 7am. Does the pass cover the 7am stop at bled and do I not need to reserve a seat?

Or, do i just get on the train and scan in with my interrail pass?

Any help would be really appreciated,

Thanks guys.

The 0706 train from Bled to Zagreb is indeed a night train - it starts in Stuttgart & Zurich the night before. But there will be people joining at Bled and Ljubljana.

I don’t see any way to make a reservation online - either with ÖBB, DB or ČD. You should  be able to get one at the station in Lesce-Bled, or at another station in Slovenia.

It’s marked as compulsory reservation in the timetable. I don’t know how strongly that is enforced by the staff on the daytime portion. I suspect you can just get on and find an empty seat.

This night train does not have compulsory seat reservations in Austria, Slovenia or Croatia. The Rail Planner app is incorrect. You can just board and find a seat.
