Getting reservations on a train that requires them. Also no receipt by email for paid reservations.

My husband and I are on a Carnival Great Britain cruise that will end at 5 am, Sunday, 8/21. Under my trips on the Eurail app we have tickets for our trip from Dover Priory to Paris at 09:49, arriving in Paris Nord at 15:47. I paid for reservations online last night for Dover to London, but did not receive an email receipt. I tried to make reservations for London to Paris at 12:31, but the website I was on said it was impossible!!! I need help!!! We have hotel reservations in Paris on 8/21. Also, on 8/12 I had a trip for 2 set up on Eurail to go from London to Dover priory, but we didn’t go or use that day on our Eurailpass because I had forgotten that I had already paid for a tour bus to take us from London to Dover. Did we lose credit for that day because we didn’t go? Also, I paid for reservations for that trip and, like the current situation, I never got an email receipt for those paid for reservations, either!

If you didn't get any confirmation email and the reservations are not visible in your Eurail account, then something went wrong with the reservations and you have none.

You need to make new reservation elsewhere and you need to contact Customer Support through the form below and ask for a refund of the non-delivered reservations.

Exactly what reservation are you missing?

The earliest pass holder seats from London to Paris on the Eurostar are on Monday the 29th of August and in 1st class. So I guess that you need to find another way to cross the channel if you want to be in Paris on Sunday the 21st.

Here you can check the availability of passholder seats on the Eurostar.

Reservations are not needed or even possible for Dover - London so if you paid for that then...

What site did you use?

As you apparently are in Dover on Sunday 28 Aug the obvious option is using the Dover - Calais ferry.

The current schedule there these days is pretty poor for foot passengers, the earliest available is 14.00 Dover - Calais 16.30 then a regional train from Calais Ville at 17.36 - Paris Nord 20.29.

The ferry can be booked at https://www.poferries.com/en#route select foot passenger and it will be £30

 per person.

The train Calais - Paris does not need a reservation and if you miss that one there are later ones.

They need to be in Paris this Sunday, 21st of August and there are no pass holder seats on the Eurostar for more than a week. How are the connections from Dover to France on the 21st?

@Al_G

Thanks, Anna. Yes I see that now, it’s that stupid American way of writing month/day that trips me up.

Turns out, if they are interested in this option that the times are much better for this Sunday.

Ferries at 09.15 and 11.15 from Dover, the 09.15 with train from Calais Ville at 13.20 getting to Paris for 16.56.

Same as before £30 pp on ferry, train requires no reservation.
