Help for a member of my group(the request is written by hin)

Hello everyone.

I need some help. I'm having a problem with an Interrail route: the founder of the group can see it and added it without problems, while to me that same route doesn't appear when I try to add it. Also, even trying to import it through the link he sent me, I can't. We tried to figure out how to solve it, but we can't figure it out. Has it already happened to anyone? Do you know how it can be done?

So it looks like the complete trip was shared, and saved. You can only have one trip connected to your pass. You can change the trip connected to your pass, as long as it has not been activated. You can cancel activation, as long as the validity period has not started.

You can also share just a single journey (itinerario), which can then be added to a trip (viaggio).

I can find the journeys you mention in the Rail Planner app, both in offline and in online mode. Please check if any filters are used in the planner, and if so, remove them. Also check for app updates. If that doesn't help, could you please post a screenshot of the planner results?

​@Eurail Community Moderator I noticed that in the Italian app, "trip” is translated as "viaggio”, but journey sometimes too, while in other places journey is translated as "itinerario”. This is very confusing, because they are separate concepts in the app. My Italian is very limited, so I can't advise on whet's better or make alternative propositions, but ideally, both concepts should be translated consistently.

Please give more details:

  1. "The founder of the group can see it”: where does he see it? Do you mean in the Rail Planner app, in My Trip?
  2. "that same route doesn't appear when I try to add it”: what exact steps are you taking to add it? What happens when you try? Please provide a screenshot of any error message or of the screen where you're stuck.
  3. "trying to import it through the link he sent me, I can't”: Please provide a screenshot of any error message or of the screen where you're stuck.
  4. If you can't find a specific train the the planner, then please mention route, date and departure time.
  5. Please note that you can share a journey with someone and they can then add it to their trip. However, if you share the complete trip (with all journeys/trains) with someone, then you can only save it as a complete trip. If they then want to use it with their pass, then they need to link their pass to that trip.
Please ask questions in the community and not via a private message. That's the quickest way to get a response. I don't work for Eurail/Interrail.

1 he can see it on the discover eu app,in the “my travels” section

2 when i try to find the same route with the same train and the same hours and minutes,it doesn’t appear in the options

3 there is no error message,the route appears but separately from the main route,and i can’t connect it to the pass 

4 the routes are Lecce-Pistoia on the 17th of August, from 9:58 to 19:37 and Pistoia-Lecce on the 21th from the 9:42 to 19:43

5 how can i connect this route to the pass?what steps to i need to take?
