How to add a journey with destination not in the Interrail schedule?

So I’m planning to travel from Switzerland to Malgrat de Mar in Spain and have managed to add the journey up to Girona and make the necessary reservations. It seems that Malgrat de Mar is not in the Interrail Schedule but it is covered in the pass. What’s the correct way of manually adding the journey from Girona up to Malgrat de Mar?

I have found out that it is possible to add the journey by entering Girona as the starting station and then just any other station in Spain as the destination. Then I can scroll down, add the journey manually and then change the destination station to Malgrat de Mar (and add the other info). While this does seem to work, it also feels like this really isn’t the intended way to do this and I am scared that the resulting ticket may seem suspicious to a ticket inspector. I have, however, not found any other way of adding a journey where the destination station is not in the schedule.

You found the correct way of entering a train manually. That's exactly the way it is intended to be used.
