I am travelling tomorrow from Lyon to Nijmegen, but I have huge troubles finding a route. All the high speed trains towards Bruxelles from either Lyon or Paris are fully booked. Now I realize that is my mistake by not booking in advance. However, there are some other routes available but they just don’t pop up (for example Lyon-Paris-Lille-Bruxelles). If I would filter on no seat reservation, I am taking a crazy route that takes ages, so this does not work either. Is there any way to find the fastest route using the tool so that it only shows me trains that actually still have Interrail seats available? I think it is quite annoying that it does not show whether a route is even possible… Thanks in advance!!

How to filter on available trains?

For logging: split the big itineraries in shorter segments. Lyon - Lille first, then Lille - Antwerp, etc.
You can also add via points.
For planning: I recommend using DB Navigator or bahn.com following the same process.
If you're still having issues finding a good route, let us know here. August is obviously peak season and the Eurostar passholder quota doesn't help...
