We have the Global Pass, our trips are all added to the pass. Tried to book seat reservation on PE train from Interlaken to Montreux on Eurail reservation page. The video showed very easy booking but not at all like that on their reservation site. Are we missing something?

You don't really need a reservation there, except if you want to sit on a particular seat.
No need to make a reservation. Bring something to eat and drink, and leave the train at a station wirh a scenic view for lunch. Then you just take the next train an hour or two later. And don't miss to take a walk along the shore of Lake Geneva in Montreux. For the best view, sit on the left hand side of the train.
