How to make seat reservation ln Sweden and Denmark

Hi everyone,

We are planning soon our return trip to Belgium from Sweden. We start from Uddevalla in Sweden  leaving on the 25th August 2022. The app says that it is advised to make seat reservation between Goteborg C and Copenhagen C (train 1) and between Copenhagen C and Kolding St in Denmark (train 2). However, i can t find the website to make these seats reservations (for train 1 and train 2). On the way from Belgium to Sweden, these trains were really full and since we travel with 2 children we really would like to make seats reservation. Seat reservation in Germany are done and it was easy. I would like to do the same for these 2 trains. Thanks a million for your help.

We have a interail pass of 4 days for 4 persons.

Do you know what train operator that runs the train you want to take from Göteborg? Is it Öresundståg? 

On the website of Öresundståg it says that it not is possible to buy a separate seat reservation. I have written to them to ask if it is possible to buy seats reservations with Interrail. I'll let you know when I get an answer.

There are only a few seats on Öresundståg that are possible to make reservations for. Most seats are non-reservable.

 

Here you make the seat reservation for Denmarl. Please read the instructions at the page for how to only make reservation of seats.

Reservations can be made for SJ Göteborg to Malmo direct trains on www.sj.se but as above it is not possible for the small reserved area on the Göteborg - Copenhagen Oresundstag trains.

 

As the Copenhagen trains start at Göteborg and are mostly unreserved I would expect that if you are at the station well in advance of the departure time you shouldn’t have a problem getting seats.

Thank you for your answers. Here are the trains we will take. 

For the part in Denmark, i could not make a seat reservation. But i will continue looking for options. 

If you have a link to share where you dont need to buy the ticket but just book the seat, please let me know. Thanks a million

Reservation for the Danish train, if they are possible, you make trough the link above. The instructions tell you to select zero (0) travellers and the below add how many seats you need.

Reservation for the train from Göteborg to Köpenhamn you make here:

You need to add all travellers as adults, even the children. Fill in Card category and Card number as shown on the picture. You can use I12345678 for all persons 

Select 2nd class and refundable. The price should be 34 SEK per person. Then you must click "select seat". This is very important. If you don't do that you will not get an assigned seat. 

 

 

When you have clicked " select seat" you choose the seat option you want to have and proceede to payment.

Thank you, it has worked! But after entering the journey in the booking system it was all in Danish. Impossible to have it in English, at least on the phone,  but i managed. Thanks again.
