I can't seem to book a reservation

Hi, I am trying to book a reservation. It is 2 ICE and a Nightjet. I can't seem to find how to reservate it. It gives warnings. '’One or more Passes cannot be used for this journey. Please select the travellers with valid Passes for this journey in order to book seats.'’ 

How can I reservate? Also if I go to the Nightjet website directly it also says it is not possible to book the journey but no information about if it is fully booked or anything. Has anyone als had this before? It is my first time interrail and it feels like a maze.

You would think that the 28th is a bit afther the holidays for everyone so should be fine.. I don't know what to do.

What kind of pass do you have?

In any case, Interrail is definitely not the best place to book these trains.

Book the night train via ÖBB on tickets.oebb.at.

Book the ICEs via bahn.de, ÖBB or cd.cz.

I would however take a larger buffer for the night train. It's easy to be delayed 30 minutes and then you're stranded.

The night train can't be booked yet indeed. You can subscribe to a notification on nightjet.com.

    Hi ​@rvdborgt thanks for your reaction! I have the Interrail Global Pass. That is strange. Why can't I book a nightjet one month before? On the website says you can buy it 180 days beforehand or does it depend per journey?

    So you suggest to reservate everything separately?

    Nightjet is bookable up to 180 days in advance. On the Nightjet website you can see that the timetable is not final yet. The most likely cause for that is planned engineering works.

    The reservations for ICEs and Nightjet are separate anyway. There is no advantage in trying to book them together.

    I'd wait however with booking the ICEs until the NJ can be booked from Augsburg. It's possible that it will leave earlier.

    Alternatively, the Nightjet can already be booked from München Ost, so it's the timetable between Stuttgart and Munich that's not final yet. You can book from Munich and board earlier. The reservation price is the same anyway, regardless of where you board, but it can go up if you wait longer.
