i cannot rebook the correct Eurostar trip. so How can i resolve the fact that the wrong train journey was refunded and now my connects dont work.

The system failed to book the correct journey, the wrong time was then booked, then the correct journey was booked, then the refund processed ended up cancelling the correct trip and leaving the wrong one.

My family of 4 are set to travel later this week and it means a whole bunch of our other connections don’t work. Spaces on Eurostar trains are limited for interrail. How can I resolve this?

I cannot even find a number to speak to a human being…

There is no Interrail phone number.

You can book pass reservations for Eurostar on at least 4 websites:

allaboard.eu (has the lowest booking fees, starts at €1)

B-europe (booking fee €4 per order)

Rail Europe (booking fee €2 per person and train; always set currency to euro to avoid their 5% mark-up)

Interrail (booking fee €2 per person and train)

You didn't mention where you were trying to book, so it's hard to advise.

If you have an existing booking, regardless where you booked it, then go to eurostar.com (or the Eurostar app) and load your reservation in Manage your journey. You can then change your booking to another train, as long as there are pass holder seats available. This is free of charge until 7 days before departure.

If that doesn't work, then please mention route, date and departure time you want to book.

Thank you for your help. The original booking was with interrail.eu. I’m trying to process a refund request through their ‘submit a request’ field and will see if that helps.

Thanks for confirming there’s no customer helpline, that at least will save time. And I’m quoting individual reservation references, so hopefully they can pin down the mistake on the system and provide a workable solution.

Please note that a refund may not be free of charge. If you already have a reservation, then the easiest is, as I wrote, to change that reservation yourself via the Eurostar website or app, regardless of where you booked it originally.
